Mr. Anthony “Tony” Fowler, age 61, of Kokomo, transitioned March 20th, 2020 at his residence in Kokomo, Indiana.

Anthony was born on September 11th, 1958 in Columbia, South Carolina to Mr. Arthur Fowler, Jr. and Ramona E. Fowler.

He was a graduate of Hayworth High School in 1976.  He was a member of the Hayworth Huskies football and track teams. 

After high school, Mr. Fowler enlisted in the United States Army for 14 years.  He served as a Communication Specialist in the Signal Corp Unit.  After his military enlistment, he worked and retired from the United States Postal Services as a postal clerk.  He recently graduated from Ivy Tech Community College and also the Indiana University of Kokomo, IN.  Mr. Fowler was a member of the Wayman Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church.  He was a member of the American Legion Post #6.  He loved to ride his Harley Davidson motorcycle.

Anthony leaves to cherish his memories; his mother, Ramona E. Fowler; his sons David Spencer of Chandler, AZ, Lamar A. Fowler, Sr. (Kimberli S.) of Ft. Worth, TX, Kevin C. Fowler (Janay Kay) of Atlanta, GA, Mycah T. Fowler of Kokomo, IN; his daughters Jana N. Spencer of Radcliff, KY, Tonya M. Fowler of Augusta, GA;  his brother Reginald A. Fowler (Kelly) of Kokomo, IN; his sister Valerie S. Johnson of Kokomo, IN; his ex-wife Nancy Bachmann; 12 grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father Arthur Fowler, Jr.; his grandfather Arthur Fowler, Sr.; and his grandmother Louise Cox.

Special note: Due to the coronavirus pandemic, we will implement advisory visitation and attendance processes to assist with protecting everyone in attendance who wishes to pay their respects for Mr. Anthony Fowler and his family.

Mr. Fowler’s service will be Saturday, March 28th at 12:00pm with calling from 11:00am until time of services at Wayman Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church, 920 North Apperson Way, Kokomo, IN 46901.  Pastor William Gary is the eulogist and officiant.  Mr. Fowler will be laid to rest at Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery.  Watch services via Facebook Live Stream on Bluitt and Son Funeral Home.
