Craig Allen Williams

September 27, 1950 — December 21, 2021

Mr.Craig Allen Williams, 71, entered into this world on Sept. 27, 1950, the son of Wilma Haroldine Winburn and Frank Stith in Kokomo, Indiana. Preceding Craig's 7th birthday in 1957, his mother married Sylvester Eugene (Gene) Williams, who wanted both Craig and his sister, Karen, to possess his family's official name of "Williams." His desire was ultimately fulfilled when he formally completed the adoption process of both Craig and Karen around the year of 1959. Craig was a graduate of Bloomington High School, Bloomington, Indiana, and served his country in the United States Army, where he fought in the Vietnam War. After his stint in the Army, Craig was gainfully employed by the Continental Steel Corp. until it's demise in 1986. Craig was a devoted Chicago Bears fan and also an avid fisherman. He especially enjoyed playing a friendly game of cards with his close friends. On Tuesday Dec. 21, 2021, at 8:20 a.m., in the St. Vincent Ascension Hospital, Indianapolis, campus, Craig made his transition. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Craig was preceded in death by his mother; grandmother, Florence (Mabra) Tompkins; sister, Sharon K. (Stith) Perry; and brother, Allen Ray Smith. He leaves to cherish his memories one daughter, Melissa Williams Hill, Kokomo; three sons, D'Andrea Williams, Danville, Indiana, DaRay Williams (Megan), Bloomington and Markeith Young (Erica), Noblesville, Indiana; adoptive father, Sylvester Williams, Oakwood, Texas; father, Frank Stith of Anderson, Indiana; three sisters, Karen Williams, Kokomo, and Debbie and Dawn Stith, both of Anderson; one brother, George Stith, Anderson; six grandchildren, Aria Williams, A'Nyah, Micaiah and Aiden Young, and Wyatt and Wayde Williams; along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
