Elizabeth Bluitt Taylor

April 9, 1922 — February 25, 2020

Mrs. Elizabeth Bluitt Taylor, passed away in Columbia, Maryland on February 25, 2020.  Born in Indianapolis, Indiana, she was a graduate of Crispus Attucks High School.  She received as B.A. in Social Work from the City University of New York, and her M.A. in Social Work from City College of New York.  Mrs. Taylor was a federal employee for 50 years as an administrator with the Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

She was the widow of Mr. William Andrew Taylor, Sr to whom she was united in marriage on November 19, 1950 in Tyler, Texas.

She loved traveling abroad with her Mother, as well as going to plays on Broadway, seeing family on holidays, and spending time with her granddaughter, going to Brianna's college basketball games to see her play.  She also loved going on vacations with her husband and family, and walking a mile to Target, and working out even at the ages of 91 to 93 years old.  She dearly loved to handwrite cards to her family and friends for the holidays.

A celebration of her life will take place Saturday, March 7, 2020 at 11:00 am, with calling from 10:00 am until time of services at Jerusalem Temple Apostolic Church located at 2125 E. 54th Street, Indianapolis, Indiana 46205.  Floral tributes may be delivered to the church beginning one hour prior to time of calling.  She will be laid to rest in Floral Park Cemetery.
