Janice Lee Warren, 74 years old, from Kokomo, Indiana, transitioned from labor to reward on September 3, 2018 at 5:28am.
She was a member of Everlasting Dominion Fellowship. Janice retired from General Motors/Delco, UAW 292, after 30 years of service. She received both a Bachelor and Masters Degree from Indiana University. She had been Coordinator of the G.E.D. Pride Program at Kokomo Schools. Janice previously taught at Indiana University Kokomo and Ivy Tech.
Janice leaves to cherish her memory and celebrate her life, son, Demetrius Warren (Paula); siblings: Arnick (Billie) of Terre Haute, Patricia Stewart of Terre Haute, Carole Looney of Indianapolis, Marilyn Hester (Nate) of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Elaine Waller of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Rebecca Lay of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Sheila Fairbanks of Charlotte, North Carolina, Rita Woods of Indianapolis, Hazel Fortson of Terre Haute, Indiana and Lillie Smith (Jeff) of Hampton, Virginia; Goddaughter, Carlett Rodgers (Charles) of Huntsville, Alabama; 4 grandchildren: Demetrius II, Des'ree, Demarius and Aalana and 1 great grandchild, Leo; and a host of extended family and friends.
The Memorial Service is Friday, September 14, 2018, 7pm at Morning Star Church, 2900 E. Markland Avenue, Kokomo, Indiana. The visitation is Saturday, September 15, 2018, 10am - 12pm with the Homegoing Celebration commencing at 12pm at Cross America, 840 Daniel Drive, Kokomo, Indiana. The interment will take place at Grandview Cemetery, Terre Haute, Indiana.
