Mr. John Hill, 86, of Indianapolis, formerly of Gary, Indiana, transitioned from labor to reward on the morning of June 30, 2018.
He attended Jerusalem Temple Apostolic Church in Indianapolis. He previously attended Saint Timothy Community Church in Gary, Indiana, where he previously served on the Trustee Board. John was a United States Air Force Veteran and had previously been the Superintendent on the Gary School Board and was a Principal and taught in the Gary Public Schools for over 50 year.
John was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Hill and Willie Pearl Givens-Hill; wife, Constance Juanita Williams-Hill; son, Dr. Jon Alan Hill; siblings: Charles Hill Jr., James Hill and Jeremie Hill.
John leaves to cherish his memory and celebrate his life, daughter, Tamara "Tammy" C. Hill-Stewart (Gordon); grandchildren: Le'Tia Chantelle Hill, Jon Alan Hill, II, Alan Gregory Umphrey, III, Aaron Rocco Hill (Clarissa), Jasmine Jonay Marchante (Michael), DeAndre J. Landre, Areyuanna Drane and Gabrielle Walker; great grandchildren: Senayt Rose Hill and Aaron Rocco Hill, II and a host of extended family and friends.
The visitation is Saturday, July 7, 2018, 9am - 10am, family hour, 10am - 11am followed by service at 11am at St. Timothy Community Church, Gary, Indiana. Arrangements entrusted to Bluitt & Son Funeral Home. www.bluittandson.com
