Malline Young 89 years young , went to be with the Lord on Friday evening August 7.   On June 12, 1931, in Faulkner, Mississippi, Will and Gennie Gillard welcomed Malline "Frankie B" Young into the world. Malline departed this earthly life on Aug. 7, 2020, at the age of 89.
Malline attended school in Faulkner, Mississippi, and later relocated to Kokomo, Indiana, where she became a devoted member of Second Missionary Baptist Church. On April 19, 1958, she married Harry Young Jr. and to this union three daughters were born. She worked at Grissom Air Force Base until retiring and dedicating the reminder of her life to serving God and her family.
Malline enjoyed cooking, spending time with her family and, most of all, enjoyed sharing the love and message of Jesus with all those she came in contact with.
She leaves to cherish her life three daughters, Sandra L. Young, Shelisha Carr, Tamatha Hughes; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
Services will take place at Second Missionary Baptist Church on Saturday, August 15, at 11:00 am with visitation from 9 to 11 a.m. Pastor Dr. William J. Smith Jr. will be officiating, and Pastor Dowell Gibbs will serve as the eulogist.  Floral tributes may be delivered to the church beginning one hour prior to time of calling.
