Margaret Ann Freeman "Mother Freeman," 82, passed away May 7, 2019. Margaret Ann Freeman was born to Milton and Doretha (Murray) Holloway Sr. on Nov. 13, 1936, in Mansfield, Louisiana. She was a member of Grace Memorial Institutional C.O.G.I.C. She was a former member of the board of directors of Grace Memorial Institutional C.O.G.I.C.; district missionary for the Church of God in Christ for over 30 years; district big sister Sunshine Band; former chairman of the Mother's Board of Grace Memorial Institutional C.O.G.I.C.; assistant to the supervisor of women for Indiana First Jurisdiction; former co-chair for the Indiana First Jurisdiction Women's Convention; and a member of the Kokomo Christian Women's Guild. She was a recipient of the Sagamore of the Wabash award. She was retired from Delco Electronics, a Division of General Motors, after 30-plus years. She leaves to cherish her memory one son, Kennis L. Freeman; two daughters, Cheryl A. Simmons (Michael) and Debora K. Humphries, all of Kokomo; one daughter-in-law, Roxanne Freeman, of Indianapolis; two sisters, Josephine (Josie) Hall and Rose Brown, both of Shreveport, Louisiana; seven grandchildren, Samuel Humphries Jr., Lisa M. Gunn (Lance), Michael V. Simmons II, Heather R. Humphrey (Nathaniel), Craig D. Simmons (Jennifer), Brandon S. Humphries (Miranda) and Tracie C. Simmons; two great-grandchildren; two godchildren, Belinda Jackson (Tony) of Dudley, North Carolina, and Cameron Glenn of Columbus, Ohio; four nieces; 11 nephews; and a host of cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, James Freeman Jr.; two brothers, Milton Holloway Jr. and Robert Holloway. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Grace Memorial Institutional C.O.G.I.C., with calling from 4 to 6 p.m. on Friday and 11 a.m. until time of service on Saturday.
