Mr. Michael Ferguson, age 64, of Kokomo, transitioned Thursday, March 5, 2020, at 6:27 a.m. at Ascension St. Vincent of Kokomo. Mr. Ferguson was born on May 30, 1955, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Lee Anthony Ferguson Sr. and the late Charlean Berryhill-Killebrew. His family moved to Kokomo, Indiana, where he graduated from Kokomo High School in 1973. Michael loved fishing, reading, and walking one of his many dogs (Silky), which earned him the nickname "Dogman." He also enjoyed sharing his wisdom with any child he came in contact with, always making sure they were safe and having fun. He was a member of Grace Memorial Institutional C.O.G.I.C., where he enjoyed church service. He was fondly referred to as "The Tambourine Man." He leaves to cherish his memory his childhood sweetheart and loving wife of 25 years, Trudy Elaine Beard-Ferguson; his son, Char-Michael Williams; brothers, Paul D. (Carmen) Ferguson, Rodney "Duke" Killebrew, and Myron D. Killebrew; sisters Junita, Joyce, and Fonda; eight grandchildren, CeAsia Woodard, Lawrence Russell, LeMonte Russell, Char-Michael Jr., Asianna Williams, Brianna Williams, Mica Williams, and Micle Williams; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of many other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Charlean Killebrew; brother, Anthony; and sister, Opal Jones. Mr. Ferguson's service is Saturday, March 14, at 11 a.m., with calling from 10 a.m. until time of services at Grace Memorial Institutional C.O.G.I.C., 1417 N. Delphos St., Kokomo, IN 46901. Pastor Harry L. Beard will officiate. Mr. Ferguson will be laid to rest at Crown Point Cemetery. Services are entrusted to Bluitt and Son Funeral Home. www.bluittandson.com
