Saamir Muhammad

Saamir Muhammad, 14, of Indianapolis, transitioned from labor to reward on July 11, 2019. 

Saamir attended Zion Middlecreek Junior High School, where he was a member of the band. He played drums and the keyboard and he loved teaching people to play the keyboard.

He leaves to cherish his memory and celebrate his life, parents, Lee Edward Smith, Jr. and Talair L. Muhammad; siblings: DeAnthony L. Knighten (Elizabeth), Dalyawn R. Smith, Taqi A. Muhammad, Briana N. Turner, Kaleesan Ameena Muhammad and Jasmin Roberts; grandparents: Betty Coley, Tommy Lee Phillips, Jr., Tommy Lee Phillips, Sr., Mary Berry, Lee Edward Smiths and a host of extended family and friends.

His visitation is Saturday, July 20, 2019, 9am - 11am with the Homegoing Celebration commencing at 11am at Greater Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, 519 E. 23rd Street, Indianapolis. The interment will immediately follow at Washington Park North.
